Heathergate is a modern farmhouse set on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. We offer comfortable bed and breakfast holiday accommodation in our family run farm, which has outstanding views acrosss Wiggerty and Blackdown. Open all year for bed and breakfast, Heathergate has two bedrooms and is in a very quiet location. Heathergate is inspected by Dartmoor Partnership, and is an ideal base for holidays in West Devon, Dartmoor, the Tamar Valley and Cornwall.

West Devon is ideal for relaxing family holidays, peaceful short breaks and for the more adventurous there is a wide range of outdoor activities on offer. Dartmoor has extensive hill walking, moorland villages, tumbling streams and rocky tors for scrambling up and climbing. Traditional moorland inns offer a variety of good food and drinks, and you can enjoy Devon cream teas in many village tearooms and cafes.

Lydford is a pretty Devon village with a Norman castle keep, and close by is Lydford Gorge (NT) which has easy walks to the river Lyd, and harder walks to the depths of the gorge, where the river rushes through narrow dark passages. There are several cycling and hiking trails close by, including the West Devon Way, the Granite Way, the Dartmoor Way and the Two Castles Trail long distance routes, making it an ideal base or stopover for those wanting walking holidays or cycling holidays.
